When I hooked up my small Acer laptop with Cubase, the Midi from the recording card was already there and working. In addition, the board will feature various Midi in/outs (as hardware in/out on the desk itself, via USB slot and via the recording card as an embedded Midi signal through USB or FiWi). It seems, that the X32 will have a Mackie HUI and a Mackie Control Midi Template, but by now only the Mackie Control Template is implemented. Behringer is constantly working on new firmware updates, but there are only very few things left, that have to be implemented till the official sales date. If the x32 module was doing the same then this would likely have collision issues as they would work on the same port ranges.I tried to set up the X32 as a control surface for my SAC rig ( ), but I was not 100% succussful, because SAC normaly needs a dedicated Midi-Template. is avoiding duplicate issues by applying an offset. Even if the commented out config s restored, it requires the user to manage ports themselves. Is currently using a hardcoded port, causing a second instance to fail. Should we change it and log an error, or provide a button for the user to trigger getting new ports?Īlso, a closer eye should be kept on how the local ports are chosen to ensure modules dont have issues like these. Q) how should we handle a reserved port being already in use? (eg a program was started before companion that uses 8000, but we previously assigned that to an instance) (We could let the user manually edit these too if we want) The reservations and ports should be shown in a table in the ui for the user. These reservations and the accompanying ports should be constant until the instance is deleted. The chosen ports will get passed into the init function, and another function updatePorts(ports: object): void that instances can implement to be told that its port assignments changed whilst it is enabledĬompanion can then keep track of which instance has what port, and should persist this in the db. This flow is similar to how the config is done currently, so will be familiar to module authors.Ī function getPortRequests(): object describing the ports it wants. I propose we add some new methods for instances to implement. If you were to disable an instance of a module, and add a new instance, that new instance would likely get the ports the disabled one was just using. Some modules uses a package called get-port to help them choose a free port, but that will only work reliably if every other instance is already running. We need to choose a port that isnt already in use, and reserve it from use by other modules. Option 1 is something that we should simply look out for and ensure that in these cases no localPort is passed to the osc library (like done in behringer-x32) You need to choose and remember a local port.

They are very useful, I hope you find success in your CM career. Now you have access to two best CM 01 02 scout tools. Is there are difference between CM Scout and CM Agent? Not much… In truth, they both have the same functions with small differences. This one downloaded less because released at a later date. CMAgent downloaded 5.000 times and is 500KB. Other important CM 01 02 scout tool I like to mention is CMAgent. CMScout is only 500KB and has been downloaded more than 70.000 times. To find the player your squad needs, get CMScout asap. It is easy to use, super fast, and have enormous scouting options. There are three key things I like about the CMScout. Custom created shortlists can easily be imported to CM0102. Besides you can create shortlists with the players you find. Such as player searching, hidden attributes, potential, personnel, clubs, etc. It has all the features you are looking for in a scouting tool. You can download this tool created for the most legendary football managership game. That is when the scout tool needed the most. However, in the future, it is hard to find good players. Because we already have the CM 01 02 best player list of the starting date. Or perhaps you would try both of them.Īt the start of your game, you don’t need scout tools that much. Therefore you can download the one you like the most. They are both working great almost similar to each other. In order for the table of contents to be generated properly, be sure to check the box to add a page break before each section. Check the box for which contents you wish to appear in the eBook. Step #2: Now work your way through the options shown in the left pane. Watch this video tutorial if issues arise. You will only need to point Scrivener to the proper location once. While you’re at it, take the time to download Kindle Previewer. Even though labeled for use with Windows 7, I used it successfully with Windows 8.1. At this point KindleGen will need to be downloaded in order for Scrivener to properly convert the text to. Set to “Format As: Custom” and then select “Compile For: Kindle eBook (.mobi)”. The guidelines here can help alleviate some (but not all) of that initial frustration that comes with the learning curve. Likely, your first attempts will be a bit frustrating. As much as I wish I could promise your first attempt at eBook formatting will be a quick process, that would make me a liar. Tutorial Truth: I recently formatted my three eBooks for upload to Amazon. Use the ruler at the top of the screen to remove the paragraph indent so each new chapter and section begins flush-left with the margin. The block-style of not indenting paragraphs is better served for informational texts. Extra spaces can be added between paragraphs, but doing can give works of fiction an amateurish look.Consider setting the indent to 0.25″ or 0.3″ instead. The default paragraph indent of 0.5″ tends to look too big on eReader screens. This will help avoid issues with upload to Smashwords. Increase the font size for titles and headers by using the pre-formatted styles available. Center text using Scrivener’s center feature if it’s been imported from Word. My preference is to put the traditional front matter at the end of the eBook so more of main text will be shown in the online sample. Organize and title the folders and text documents of your Scrivener Project just as you would want them to appear in your final book. The biggest favor you can do yourself is to make sure the text is as cleanly formatted as possible. Also, the table of contents will be automatically generated for the Windows version and placed at the front of your eBook, whereas the Mac version allows for a more customized table. Insofar as I can tell, the Windows version doesn’t offer the capability to utilize folders for front and back matter. The Scrivener version for Mac offers a few more features than the Windows version. If you are a Mac user, I would recommend this step by step tutorial. While free programs like Calibre and Sigil can be used for eBook formatting, I much prefer the streamlined ability to accomplish the end product by using the same piece of software. For those who are a bit wary, a trial version is available for 30 days of actual use. Scrivener is worth much more than its $40 price tag. These guidelines don’t tackle the intricacies of footnotes, tables, or placement of multiple images within the text. Notice I said “relatively painless.” The steps outlined here on how to compile an eBook in Scrivener provide the basics to get your book ready for upload. Scrivener also makes it relatively painless to format both. Regular word processing programs simply cannot compare with this software’s capabilities for drafting and organizing long documents. Scrivener is a content-generation tool that caters to the needs of all kinds of writers. However, fans of other GTA games will find this change disappointing and less realistic. There is also a visible difference in driving as vehicles do not appear heavy, and steering is easier. It is also less clunky and more fun to use as compared to the previous titles. It enriched weapon choices and included customization of arms to boost the overall experience. Moreover, the game also made changes to the combat system. Aside from that, the game also allows you to change between first-person to third-person POV. You only need to click on the round choice panel and make the switch. However, as they begin working, their plots will combine for one long campaign story. GTA 5 allows players to switch between the three heroes, unlike other titles, which makes you see how the story unfolds from three perspectives. The game follows three protagonists: Michael, Trevor, and Franklin. There are also side quests and ventures that you can do to make money, which you can use to buy upgrades. Almost every mission follows an objective-driving to a location, killing armed men, gathering information, and returning to your safe house. You must complete quests in a sequence to advance the story. Like its predecessors, its career mode will have various missions that will also act as a backbone for the storyline. Gamers who knew older GTA versions will find the GTA 5 very familiar. GTA V is an action game featuring a giant sandbox world with hundreds of unique locations. It also takes you back to the infamous San Andreas, which hails back to the GTA title of the same name. The latest main entry since 2008's Grand Theft Auto IV, this action-adventure game will focus on the crime tales of three thugs working together to complete missions. Rockstar Games takes players once again to the world of crime with its new offering, Grand Theft Auto V. As a result, GTA: Vice City features a ‘Wanted’ level that builds up with more overtly criminal behavior until armed forces are chasing you down in helicopters and SWAT vans.Shaun Jooste Updated 2 days ago An action-packed crime drama game The GTA games, including Vice City, are known for allowing players to live out their dark fantasies by pretending to be cops, mowing down pedestrians, and murdering innocent civilians. Shell:setenv and shell:cd thus work only within the shell extension and are in the service of shell:exec and shell:fork, which do inherit their environment and working directory from the extension's. That is done with NetLogo's set-current-directory command. It does not change the working directory for NetLogo itself. Changing the extension's working directory with shell:cd changes the working directory for the extension only. Similarly, the working directory for the shell extension is initially set to the directory in which the NetLogo model is located. Used with sense and moderation, the best ready meal can form part of a healthy balanced diet and be an expression of parental love as rich and complete as any home-cooked meal.Īnthony Warner is a development chef by day and blogs as The Angry Chef by night.I write about food for a living. Convenience foods have set people free from domesticity, helping them to live full and rich lives. There are games to play, battles to fight, books to read, races to run. For many people there are more important things to do than craft lovely home-cooked meals. If we damn all processed foods, we pour scorn on the millions of people who happily consume them every day without harm. Your great-grandmother could expect to live barely half as many years as you (in 1891 average life expectancy was around 46 years), largely because you’ve benefited from advances in the safety and quality of our food and water supplies (yes, tap water is a ‘processed’ product too). The lack of refrigeration meant that fruit, vegetables, milk and eggs were all but unavailable for large parts of the year. But ask yourself, would you really want to return to the dinner table of your great-grandmother? A time when deficiency diseases and gastro-intestinal disorders were rife and often fatal? By berating food manufacturers, we are harking back to an imagined paradise lost, when all was pure and uncontaminated by modernity. Plus it rejects the breathtaking advances of the modern world. Our desire to dismiss convenience food is driven more by a retrograde distaste for progress than a quest for perfect health. When those chemicals are swirling around inside us, our body cares nothing of where they came from. If I choose a tin of soup, a pasta sauce, or even a packet of crisps, will that choice be less nutritious because it was made in a factory rather than a home? The way food affects our bodies depends not on its source but on its composition – the complex mix of chemicals that comprises everything we eat. They will be delicious, but they won’t be healthy. It’s perfectly possible to take some organic potatoes, cut them into chips and deep-fry them in lard rendered from the finest rare breed pigs. A meal’s provenance doesn’t magically make it healthy or unhealthy. Manufactured products aren’t automatically unhealthy just because they’ve come from a factory. As it happens, I do work for manufacturers, as a development chef – which is why I can confidently stand up for factory food. It’s not fashionable to break from this widely held consensus without risking ridicule and accusations of being a shill for the manufacturers. ‘Eat real food, not fake processed junk.’Ī simple message that will free us from the diseases of affluence that blight our modern lives. This message unites celebrity chefs, self-appointed wellness gurus, nutritionists, even dietitians and medical doctors. Cook from scratch using fresh ingredients, nourish your family with home-cooked meals and try to return to the values and ideals of our great-grandmothers, before the evil food manufacturers made us fat and sick. If you want to eat healthily, the answer is simple. When it comes to food and health, if there’s one thing everyone seems to agree on it’s that processed and manufactured foods should be avoided. Instead of insisting that we hand-craft all our own meals at the kitchen table, Anthony Warner says we should take a fresh look at the food that freed us from drudgery to lead more fulfilling lives. OK if you are doing a face and voice capture in a new movie recording but if the video is streamed like youtube or webinar, you want the best possible sound source. You could continue to use this method but the sound quality is so poor and so full of artefacts, that most people don't bother. You could set it up by choosing internal mic and built in speakers in the record window menu, which you have located from your comments above. They also record sound generated from the internal speakers. You new flash iMac like mine, is no different. If you turned the sound/speakers down or off, it recorded no sound from the screen video. Yes you are correct, your old computer could record a new movie and new screen recording because it used the internal microphone as a sound source which picked up sound from the built in speakers, plus everything else in the near surroundings. Check the manual of your interface to see if it support this.Hi again. Tip: Certain audio interfaces have loopback capabilities built in, so you don't even need to use physical cables. Configure the respective preferences so that one program is outputting via the digital out, and the other is set to receive the digital input. If you have ADAT you can do the same for 8 channels of loopback. If you have SPDIF input and output ports, connect a cable between them for stereo loopback. This option has the advantage of potentially lower latency than other two other options above. If you have a spare output on your audio interface, connect a cable (or set of cables) from there to an input on the same interface. Routing audio can be used for things like, for example, sampling audio from video into Live or sending SMPTE sync out of Live. There are three common methods for routing audio between Live and other software on your computer. The anti-A and anti-B we use are monoclonal and extremely potent! They have no trouble directly and strongly agglutinating red cells of the appropriate type, so if you see a reaction that’s anything other than a 3+ or 4+ (very strong, in other words), something is not right! The reactions are almost always very strong.Tips and Tricks for Cell Grouping Interpretation: There are really only four patterns that are seen in the VAST majority of people being typed. Sadly, anti-B is not blue, because that would be really easy to remember, wouldn’t it? The outrage!!Īgain, the pattern of how the person’s cells react with those two antibodies determines the interpretation of the ABO group on the cell grouping test. Why? Practically, it is so the blood bank worker can glance at the tube and see whether or not the antibody was actually added. This test goes by several names, depending on whom you ask! Most blood bankers call it the “front-type,” but others call it “cell grouping” or “forward grouping.” Whatever you call it, this simple test gets you halfway to determining someone’s ABO type.Īlso, those preparing for standardized exams should note that, by convention in most of the world, the reagent (laboratory) anti-A is colored blue, while anti-B is colored yellow. Hey, don’t let anyone confuse you: There is no such thing as an “O” antigen, and neither do we use “anti-O” in our testing. We just separate the plasma and red cells from the person to be tested (by spinning the sample tube really fast), and then we mix the person’s red cells with really strong, laboratory-derived antibodies against the A antigen (“anti-A”) and the B antigen (“anti-B”). The first part of laboratory testing to determine someone’s ABO type just answers the question, “Does this person have A, B, both, or neither on their red cells?” This test is really straightforward, and few have trouble understanding it. The small number of people who have both enzymes will make both antigens, and those who lack both enzymes will make neither. In order to better understand our tests, you have to know a little bit about the antigens and antibodies that define someone’s ABO type.Ī person with the A transferase enzyme will make A antigen on their red blood cells (RBCs), while someone with the B transferase makes B. The ABO Blood Group System is clearly the most important system, since just about everything we do in blood banking revolves around ensuring that a donor and a recipient are either “ABO-compatible” (the definition varies somewhat by product, but in general, that means the recipient does not have an ABO antibody that would harm the transfused donor red blood cells) or “ABO-identical” (donor and recipient have exactly the same ABO type). This post will focus on the essentials of ABO testing so you can be better prepared for the cases Nicole will discuss in the podcast. If you want lots more detail on ABO than I can cover here, just watch that video from the 15:30 mark to 33:05. NOTE: In 2011, I published a video covering the basics of the blood groups, including ABO ( you can find it on the BBGuy video page). Nicole Draper takes us on a tour of the essentials of recognizing and dealing with ABO discrepancies. This post also serves as an introduction to episode 054 of the Blood Bank Guy Essentials Podcast. In 2019, Winston released Restless Wind, which found him interpreting Sam Cooke and Stephen Stills songs. Two years later, he released the cancer research benefit LP The Spring Carousel. He toured in support of the album, playing solo piano concerts as well as performing on slack-key guitar and harmonica. Winston continued to perform solo, but he didn't cut another record until Love Will Come: The Music of Vince Guaraldi, Vol. 2006's Gulf Coast Blues & Impressions, an impressive solo piano outing, was released by RCA as a benefit set for hurricane relief. Montana: A Love Story from 2004 was inspired by Winston's childhood in Montana. His 2002 release Night Divides the Day focused on the music of one of his earliest influences, the Doors. The new millennium brought anniversary editions of several of his landmark albums, including Autumn, December, and Winter into Spring, as well as the 2001 album Remembrance: A Memorial Benefit, which was Winston's response to the tragic events of September 11, 2001. The compilation album All the Seasons of George Winston was released in the spring of 1998, followed a year later by Plains. In 1996, he paid tribute to another of his greatest influences with Linus & Lucy: The Music of Vince Guaraldi. Winston's music continued to grow in popularity and influence in the years to follow, but in typically enigmatic fashion, he virtually dropped from sight for the remainder of the '80s, resurfacing only in 1986 to score a reading of The Velveteen Rabbit by actress Meryl Streep.įinally, in 1991, Winston returned to action, completing his seasonal cycle with Summer Forest followed three years later. After signing to the Windham Hill label, he recorded a trilogy of albums between 19 - Autumn, December, and Winter into Spring - of impressionistic, seasonally themed piano musings that laid much of the groundwork for the new age boom to follow. Influenced by the stride piano of Fats Waller and Teddy Wilson, Winston turned from rock and R&B to jazz, and soon released his first solo piano effort, Ballads and Blues 1972, after which he mysteriously retired from music for the next several years.ĭiscovering the music of the legendary New Orleans R&B pianist Professor Longhair in 1979 was the epiphany Winston was seeking to inspire a return to performing. & the MG's, Floyd Cramer, and the Ventures he did not take up music until after high school, however, beginning with organ and electric piano but moving to acoustic piano by 1971. Even as a child, Winston preferred instrumental music over vocal performances, counting among his early heroes Booker T. 2 (2010), Restless Wind (2019), and Night (2022) that continued to showcase his mastery of tone, texture, and ambiance.Īlthough born in Michigan in 1949, George Winston was raised primarily in Montana, the extreme seasonal changes he experienced there later greatly influencing the pastoral feel of his music. Winston remained prolific in the 2000s and beyond, releasing wide-ranging efforts like Night Divides the Day: The Music of the Doors (2002), Love Will Come: The Music of Vince Guaraldi, Vol. Known for his evocative solo piano recordings, he issued a string of platinum- and gold-selling albums in the 1980s and '90s, including Autumn, Winter into Spring, December, Plains, and Linus & Lucy: The Music of Vince Guaraldi. Self-described "rural folk piano" player George Winston was among the earliest and most successful proponents of the genre of contemporary instrumental music later dubbed new age.
